12 Jun Apps I Use: PDF Expert
PDF Expert is an app for Mac, iPhone, and iPad – sorry, PC users, it looks like this program is not yet available on platforms other than Apple – that specializes in all of your PDF editing needs. These needs may include editing, highlighting, annotating, reading, merging, signing or filling out documents. PDF Expert seems to be able to handle whatever task you throw at it.
There are many apps that take care of some of these issues, for example, signing and filling out documents can be handled by apps like HelloSign, which I talked about in a previous post. However, there are few apps that can handle all of these issues at once.
Often, especially when I am working with international and remote clients, I use PDF formatted files. This is because PDF documents are relatively universally formatted, meaning there is usually very little confusion on either end, as most programs have the capacity to process these files. The only issue that I always seemed to run into was the limited editability of these files. When converting a document to PDF it totally flattens it, as if it were actually printed on a physical piece of paper.
PDF Expert remedies this issue by making it possible to…
- Easily highlight and edit text, images, and links, as well as sign and annotate any PDF formatted file with a few clicks of the mouse.
- Merge multiple PDF documents into one file.
- Speedily and easily navigate the program. Even those who aren’t tech-savvy should have no problem learning the ins and outs of the program.
- Use with all of your Apple devices consistently, including iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
- Easily email and share files.
One thing I really enjoy about this app is that makes it easy for your business to go relatively paperless. Because of features that allow me to annotate, fill out, and sign any document I’d like, I feel as if I may never have to print a document again. So, not only is PDF Expert extraordinarily handy, easy to use, and convenient, it is also eco-friendly! You probably won’t need to throw out your printer after downloading this app, but it may very well begin collecting a bit of dust.
PDF Expert, which was chosen as “App of the Year” by Apple, is available for a 7-day free trial on their website www.pdfexpert.com, as well as in the Mac App Store. I would highly recommend downloading this trial to see if this app is right for you and your business. Though I must warn you, if you try the app for yourself, you may quickly find yourself unsure of how you ever operated without it!
With the help of PDF Expert I can more easily interact with my clients, whether they be from across the office or all the way across the world. It really has made my life easier when I am faced with even the heftiest of PDF files. The full version of the app is $59.99, which I believe is well worth the investment, as in the long run it really will save time, money, and trees.
